OFFICERS

President – Joanna Maguire

Hi!

I am a mom to three kiddos (5th, 1st, and Pre-K), a wife, a Licensed Massage Therapist, and a Physical Fitness Instructor. I am orginally from Louisiana, and have been blessed to live in many places within the United States of America. This travel has allowed us to be a part of several schools, including P.T.O.s and P.T.A.s. These experiences were incredible, and allows me to bring to Juniper Elementary School a variety of ideas to support our P.T.O. 

My hobbies include spending time with family and friends, dancing, hiking, playing sports, reading interesting articles (Archaelogy News – is great!), and trying to appreciate each day as the “present” it is meant to be.

I love being a part of our P.T.O. because it is fun to work with others who have a common goal – supporting our kids and school.  We grant funding requests, purchase equipment, and host fun school events. 

It truly “takes a village to raise a child”, and I am so thankful for our staff, support personnel, and leadership here at Juniper Elementary School.

My husband, Dan, and I have two beautiful girls (Helen – 2nd grade and Susie – preschool). I have lived in Central Oregon for 26 years and have an extensive group of friends and family. I love spending time with them, and I love meeting new friends as well!

My hobbies are: hiking, snowboarding, reading, cooking, dancing, laughing!

The reason I am enjoy being a part of the P.T.O. is that I like helping to build the community at our school. I like planning fun activities and exciting fundraisers. I like working together with others who have the best interest of our kids at heart. I love being able to say “Yes!” to a funding request that will improve our school community and the lives of our children.

I am ‘Mom” to Kellen, a fantastic 4th grader! We live with my partner, Buzzy; two cats, Rosie & Rosabelle; and one dog, Sugar.  Our family
includes Kellen’s dad, Adam; stepmom, Jamie; sister, Sonoma; and their dog, Roebie. I have a CPA practice that does Finance/Accounting work for local governments. In my free time, I like to flat-water kayak, sing, ballroom dance, and I do animal rescue work.

I really enjoy being a part of our P.T.O. because it is a supportive and grateful group.  We are all busy and have many priorities, so I really appreciate that there is no judgement about how much or how little any one person can give. We all just do what we can, when we can, and it is enough.  GO WILDCATS!!

Hello! My husband, Matt, and I have 4 children, 3 of whom attend Juniper! We love Juniper for the superior staff and for the friendly faces. I am a stay at home mom, so when I’m not attending to the needs of my home, I love to do yoga, read, teach piano, organize and spend time with family and friends. I joined PTO because I realized that I could make a difference somewhere, even if it was as little as 1 hour a month. I have been rewarded with new friends and positive ideas that I love being a part of!
